YES! Even more so! If you make changes to support your body’s functions now, maybe you can avoid a life-long chronic disease! Most people find significant symptom improvements regardless of their diagnosis.
AIP is an elimination diet developed by a doctor that temporarily removes the foods known to contribute to autoimmune flares and symptoms. Later, those foods are reintroduced in a specific way to help you determine if they are a contributing factor for you. There are numerous published peer-reviewed journals and clinical trials proving AIP’s efficacy for autoimmune symptom reduction.
That is okay! You can do as few or as many changes as you are ready to make! I will work with you on whatever you are currently ready to do. Regardless how much you choose to implement, the information gleaned will empower you to make decisions for your body going forward. And, we could all eat better and do life in a healthier way! You can start where you are ready - even if that means just eating more vegetables or cooking one meal at home a week.
Great! I can help you do just that! The program is fully customizable to fit your dietary needs, challenges, likes, or dislikes. We will adjust to make it work for you. The concepts will be the same so they can be applied to your unique situation and needs. And, this program will also arm you with knowledge to ask good questions and have even better conversations with your doctor.
Honestly, you will need to carve out some time each week to focus on your health. Although, this time can be spread throughout the week to make it easier. This will breakdown to about 2-hours of additional videos/audio each week. You can listen in the car, or on a walk, or while doing dishes. Then, our coaching sessions are 45-60 minutes each week. Plus, you will want time to meal plan and think about what you’ve learned so you can determine how you want to apply it to your life.
This is a common fear but not to worry. My clients don’t fail! They learn and adapt. I help you find ways to make the changes you really want to make. I clarify the process and offer step-by-step guidance. We will work together to find what works for your life. Change is always hard but so worth it. And sometimes small changes have a much bigger impact than we realize!
The program encourages healthy foods everyone should be eating anyway. Plan on eating mostly meats, vegetables, and healthy fats. No need for additional shakes, powders, or special foods. I also provide meal planning guidance, meal ideas, and lots of time saving tips and tricks.
Although we can still work together, the AIP philosophy is that animal-based proteins are required for healing. The body is made of amino acids. Healing and repairing of tissues requires amino acids. Many plant-based foods do not contain complete amino acids or the nutrients required for healing tissues damaged by autoimmunity. If this is a non-negotiable for you, this program may not be a good fit.
Even clients who don’t want to cook can benefit from this program. I offer guidance in the program on how to navigate this as well. Although there is something satisfying about feeding yourself nutrient dense foods that make us feel healthier and happier.
