Treatment provides a diagnosis and supports you clinically, and is considered healthcare. Coaching isn’t a replacement for medical or mental health treatment, but it can complement it. Coaching helps to build foundational skills like emotional regulation, body awareness, explore lifestyle rhythms and other foundational health practices such as restorative sleep, stress management, grounding, and finding your purpose. Think of coaching as a supportive or complementary wellness service.
Not at all. Mind-body work doesn’t dismiss symptoms. Your symptoms are real. Your body’s systems are interconnected, and symptoms are often the body’s intelligent way of protecting you or signaling that something needs attention. Mind-body approaches explore how stress, emotions, and nervous system patterns may be contributing to your experience. Not causing it in a way that blames you, but in a way that gives you new tools to support whole-body health.
At the Institute for Integrative Nutrition we learn that “primary foods” are the parts of life that nourish you beyond what’s on your plate. (Such as relationships, career, creativity, spirituality, and community) The non-food areas that fuel your energy, fulfillment, and sense of purpose. When these areas are thriving, your relationship with food naturally improves, and your overall well-being flourishes. We will take a look at all areas, to support you holistically.
