An NBC-HWC Health Coach is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. This means I’ve completed a nationally recognized certification focused on evidence-based coaching, behavior change, and supporting sustainable lifestyle shifts. In coaching, I don’t diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions. Instead, I partner with you to explore your goals, understand what’s getting in the way, and support you in creating realistic, sustainable changes that fit your life.
I don’t give advice or tell you what to do. Coaching works best when you’re actively engaged in your own process, because the most sustainable change comes from your own insight and choices.
Coaching may be a good fit if something in your life or health feels like it isn’t working the way you want it to, and you’re ready for support in changing that. If you’re unsure, I invite you to hop on a FREE connection call with me so we can talk through what you’re looking for and see if it feels like a good fit.
People come to coaching with a wide range of goals related to daily life and health habits. This can include building more consistent routines, improving sleep or energy, following through on intentions, managing stress, creating better boundaries, improving nutrition or movement habits, or feeling more in control of their time and priorities. Many also want support in understanding their patterns so they can make changes that feel more realistic and sustainable.
Coaching can work alongside medical or therapeutic care. I don't diagnose, treat, or provide medical or mental health treatment, and coaching is not a replacement for those services. I do not directly contact a client’s doctor or therapist. Instead, coaching supports you in following through on recommendations and building sustainable habits in your daily life. With your consent, coaching can complement your existing care, and you may choose to share relevant updates between providers as needed.
Health coaching is not typically covered by HSA/FSA, but in some cases it may be eligible if it is recommended by a licensed healthcare provider and approved by your plan. Because policies vary, I recommend checking with your HSA/FSA provider. I can also provide receipts if needed.
Culture and identity influence how we experience health, stress, rest, boundaries, and expectations. In coaching, we may explore how these factors show up in your habits, beliefs, and choices, always centered on your lived experience and what feels relevant to you. I do not provide trauma processing or therapy. The focus of coaching is on present-day awareness, behavior change, and taking meaningful steps toward your goals. If needed, I can provide referrals to additional support.
I enjoy incorporating creativity as a tool for wellbeing—this can include reflection exercises like journaling, visual mapping, or other creative prompts to help you slow down, notice patterns, and gain insight in a more experiential way, but it's always optional. We can also explore and co-create creative approaches that support you.
