What is the first initial step taken upon the launch of the Coaching Partnership?

The Coach and client discuss a coaching contract to clarify the process and expectations.

How does the coach prepare in advance for the initial session?

Prior to the initial session, the client fills out a short assessment which provides basic background information, areas of focus, and any medical conditions that may be relevant to the coaching journey.

What does the first coaching session look like?

The client will create a Wellness Vision with the coach which will include a three-month goal. The client will express interest in setting SMART behavioral goals in at least one area of well-being. The Six Dimensions of Wellness (Hettler, 1976) will be referenced to provide the client with specific areas in which to focus and set goals.

What do the follow up sessions look like?

Coach and client will review how things went for the client regarding each goal set. Discussion about the glows and grows of the client experience is part of the follow-up. Coach will be fully present to provide space for the client's self-discovery around new pathways of thinking.
