Sue Malone
Health Care workerThe Coach and client discuss a coaching contract to clarify the process and expectations.
Prior to the initial session, the client fills out a short assessment which provides basic background information, areas of focus, and any medical conditions that may be relevant to the coaching journey.
The client will create a Wellness Vision with the coach which will include a three-month goal. The client will express interest in setting SMART behavioral goals in at least one area of well-being. The Six Dimensions of Wellness (Hettler, 1976) will be referenced to provide the client with specific areas in which to focus and set goals.
Coach and client will review how things went for the client regarding each goal set. Discussion about the glows and grows of the client experience is part of the follow-up. Coach will be fully present to provide space for the client's self-discovery around new pathways of thinking.
