FAQs

What is coaching and how is it different from therapy?

Button

Coaching focuses on helping you move forward in your life with greater clarity, awareness, and intention. While therapy often focuses on healing past wounds or treating mental health conditions, coaching is a collaborative process that helps you explore your goals, navigate transitions, and create meaningful change in the present and future.

What kinds of challenges do people bring to coaching?

Button

Clients often come to coaching during periods of transition or uncertainty. Common topics include career changes, relationship questions, identity and authenticity, stress or burnout, life purpose, and creating healthier lifestyle habits. Coaching provides a supportive space to explore these questions and discover your next steps.

What happens during a coaching session?

Button

Sessions are thoughtful, collaborative conversations focused on what matters most to you. We may explore a current challenge, clarify your goals and values, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical next steps. Many clients leave sessions feeling calmer, clearer, and more confident about their direction.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before scheduling?

Button

Not at all. Many people come to coaching because they feel uncertain or stuck. Our first conversation is simply an opportunity to explore what’s going on in your life and what kind of support might be helpful.

How often do people typically meet with you?

Button

Many clients begin with sessions every two to four weeks, depending on their goals and availability. Some people schedule a single session for clarity around a specific issue, while others choose to work together over a longer period of time to support deeper change.

Do you only work with LGBTQ clients or men?

Button

No. I work with thoughtful adults of all backgrounds who are navigating life transitions and seeking greater clarity and authenticity. I do have particular experience supporting LGBTQ individuals and men exploring identity, relationships, and personal growth.

Do you offer services beyond coaching?

Button

Yes. In addition to coaching, I also offer complementary services such as Reiki sessions and feng shui consultations. These practices can support relaxation, clarity, and well-being alongside the coaching process.
