FAQs

What is functional nutrition?

Button

Functional nutrition is a root-cause approach to health that looks at why symptoms are happening instead of just treating them on the surface. It considers the whole person—including digestion, blood sugar, hormones, inflammation, stress, and lifestyle—to create a personalized plan that restores balance and function.

Who do you work with?

Button

I work with adults who want to improve their health and well-being in a sustainable, root-cause way—whether you’re facing chronic fatigue, stubborn weight, digestive issues, hormone changes, or simply want to feel better in your body. While I specialize in supporting people in midlife (40+), my approach is for anyone ready to take ownership of their health. My clients are often busy professionals, caregivers, or individuals who feel like their health has been put on the back burner for too long

What makes your approach different?

Button

I don’t believe in cookie-cutter meal plans or restrictive diets. Instead, I focus on understanding your body, your history, and your goals. My approach is science-based and holistic, combining root-cause analysis, personalized nutrition planning, and motivational coaching to help you actually make lasting changes.

Do you give meal plans?

Button

I don’t hand out generic meal plans you could find online. Instead, I help you build your own personalized nutrition framework that works for your body, lifestyle, and preferences. You’ll learn how to choose and prepare foods that reduce inflammation, support your metabolism, and promote healing—so you’re empowered to keep going long after coaching ends.

What is motivational interviewing, and how do you use it?

Button

Motivational interviewing is a client-centered coaching style that helps you clarify your own goals and reasons for change. Rather than telling you what to do, I ask the right questions to help you explore what's important to you and build confidence in making changes that stick.

What’s your personal experience with chronic illness?

Button

’m not just a coach—I’m a fellow traveler on this journey. Early in life, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. Later, I faced Follicular Thyroid Cancer. That experience forced me to get serious about understanding root causes, nutrition, and real wellness. It’s what ignited my passion to help others stop guessing and start healing.

Do you only focus on nutrition?

Button

Nutrition is the foundation—but not the whole story. We also address lifestyle, stress, sleep, mindset, and other root factors that influence chronic symptoms. My goal is to help you see your whole health picture and make changes that are realistic and sustainable.

How is this faith-based?

Button

While I work with clients of any background, my approach is guided by the belief that our bodies were designed with wisdom and the ability to heal. I bring grace, compassion, and faith-informed encouragement to our work together for those who want that aspect included.

Do you see clients virtually or in person?

Button

I primarily work virtually, so you can join from anywhere. All sessions are done via secure video calls, with follow-up support between visits.

How do I get started?

Button

Simple! Book a free 30-minute consultation so we can talk about what’s going on, what you hope for, and how I can help. There’s no obligation—it’s just a chance to see if we’re a good fit.
