Instead, we go to the root cause of stubborn weight, which is often metabolic and hormonal imbalance, particularly insulin resistance. We’ve just been given bad weight loss advice (calories in/calories out, deprivation, restriction, hunger etc) for far too long. Is this a strict diet? Will I have to count calories forever?

No, this is absolutely not a strict diet in the traditional sense, and you won't be counting calories at all (unless you want to). My goal is to help you break free from the diet mentality entirely. We focus on nourishing your body with the right foods to balance your blood sugar and hormones, manage hunger, and get your metabolism back on track. The aim is to empower you to listen to your body's natural hunger and satiety cues, making healthy eating intuitive and sustainable.

Do I need a doctor's diagnosis of insulin resistance to work with you?

While a diagnosis can be helpful, it's not required to work with me. Many women experience symptoms of metabolic imbalance (stubborn weight, cravings, low energy, belly fat) even without a formal diagnosis. My approach helps to address these symptoms and improve metabolic health whether or not you've been officially diagnosed. If you have concerns, I always recommend discussing them with your physician.
