Mental health coaching is a supportive, forward-focused process that helps you explore where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there. It doesn't diagnose or treat mental illness. Instead, coaching helps you clarify your goals, reconnect with your values, and build confidence through meaningful, doable steps. Along the way, you’ll deepen your self-awareness, practice self-compassion, and discover new ways of relating to yourself that support growth and lasting change.
While therapy often focuses on healing past trauma or managing mental health conditions, coaching is about personal growth, self-awareness, and taking action toward future goals. It’s collaborative, goal-oriented, and rooted in strengths, not pathology.
Each session is customized to your needs. We’ll explore what’s important to you, clarify your goals, and work through any blocks or challenges in a supportive, structured way. I use evidence-based tools like motivational interviewing, SMART goals, and visualization to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Instead of focusing on what’s wrong, strengths-based coaching helps you identify and build on what’s already working: your values, skills, and inner resources. It’s about empowering you to grow from a place of self-trust and potential.
Motivational interviewing is a conversational approach that helps you explore your own reasons for change in a non-judgmental space. It’s designed to enhance your motivation, clarify your values, and guide you toward taking action at your own pace.
Mindfulness helps us slow down and tune into what’s really going on, inside and out. In coaching, we might use mindful reflection, breath awareness, or simple noticing techniques to help you develop insight and respond more consciously to life’s challenges.
Positive psychology focuses on well-being, strengths, meaning, and what helps people thrive. In coaching, this might look like cultivating gratitude, identifying core values, or building habits that boost resilience and satisfaction.
Nope. My role is to guide, not give advice or fix. You already hold the answers—we’ll work together to uncover them through thoughtful questions, reflection, and support.
That’s totally okay, and very common. Coaching can help you gently explore your current stage of change and identify one small, doable step to move forward. You don’t need a clear plan to begin, just a willingness to explore.
