FAQs

How is coaching different than therapy or counseling?

Button

As a NBC-HWC, it is outside scope of practice to diagnose or treat clients. Clients seeking health and wellness coaching usually are aware of habits or behaviors they may have that aren't helping them achieve their health and wellness goals, but have been unsuccessful on their own to achieve progress. Often chronic illness, a new diagnosis, or other life change, brings uncertainty and a need for a new routine. Coaching can help explore new and integrative methods for a new level of well.

Do you accept insurance?

Button

At this time, I do not accept insurance. Medicare is currently reviewing new ICD-10 codes in the area of health and wellness coaching as this is a new and evolving field.
