Brain · Body · Bank™ Coach — helping you master your metabolism and your money.

I help women take care of their health and their money at the same time — because when you’re under financial stress, your body pays the price, and when your health slips, so does your confidence to build the life you want. I stopped treating those as separate problems a long time ago.

My approach is simple: baby steps, not overhauls. Instead of telling you to cut everything out, I help you crowd out — adding in the foods and habits that nourish you, so the things that don’t serve you naturally fall away. It’s gentle, it meets your body where it is, and it’s especially powerful through perimenopause and menopause, when your body needs grace, not another restrictive diet.

I’m a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and trained through NASM in women’s health science — and I’m a certified Insulin IQ coach. I admire Dr. Benjamin Bikman’s strategy on insulin and metabolic health. His science is the backbone of how I help you understand what’s actually happening in your body, instead of guessing your way through another diet. You receive his entire 90 day InsulinIQ program with me as your coach.

My background also runs deep on the financial side — real estate, mortgage, and reverse-mortgage planning (CRMP) — which is exactly why I understand how powerfully money stress shows up in the body. I hold a PhD and an MBA, but what I care about most is walking alongside women through every season, from the young years all the way through the silver stage.

Mind, body, and bank.

It’s never too late to change your story. Let’s connect.

Hi, I'm Tam, a certified Insulin IQ Coach and Health Educator, dedicated to empowering busy moms and women of all ages to heal insulin resistance, reclaim vibrant energy, and spark generational wellness.

I know the chaos of juggling family life while battling health struggles. I've walked that path  with all its twists and turns for far too long.

My journey started at 20 years old with an autoimmune diagnosis, escalating at 27 after a 20-week miscarriage and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Weight gain, gut issues, mood swings, and chronic fatigue became my daily reality. If someone had guided me to focus on insulin as the root cause, I could have avoided so much pain—physical and emotional, including a total of five miscarriages, four in the second trimester. It's a miracle I have the 5 living children I do.

This mission of mine has only become more heartbreakingly personal: my oldest sister, only three years older, lost her battle at 47 years old, from colorectal cancer, a preventable disease tied to unchecked insulin resistance and lifestyle factors. Coming from a family line riddled with these issues, I've seen how poor metabolic health collapses worlds, stealing time, resources, and joy from connecting with those we love in healthy ways.

But here's the hope: I turned my pain into purpose and want to help you do the same. Through 14 years of health education, turning over all the "rocks" to find the root causes, I discovered insulin-centric strategies—simple ways to relearn eating, sleeping, fasting, and nervous system regulation—blended with nature-backed tools for physical support. These changes healed me from the inside out, restoring my energy, confidence, and ability to show up fully for my family. I practice what I preach and have lost over 20lbs in under 3 months using all these tools.

You can know all the things, but if you don't DO them and hold yourself accountable through the ups and downs, you stay stuck in a place that doesn't serve your higher potential.

Now, as a Metabolic Mentor, I help women break free from the cycle of hopelessness, confusion, and shame that traditional health methods perpetuate.

Imagine feeling hopeful again, mastering your metabolism without overwhelming diets or guesswork. Through my programs and working closely with me, you'll learn doable routines that fit your packed schedule—kid-friendly meal hacks, quick stress resets, and personalized insulin-resistant plans—that build progress and discipline.

No perfection required; just brave, consistent steps that let you reclaim control, release past pain, and embrace your divine brilliance.

The ripple effect? Healthier kids who learn from your actions, breaking generational patterns and opening doors to abundant opportunities.

Women and mothers are society's change-makers—when you heal, your family thrives, and the world gets a little brighter. If you're tired of fatigue, fluctuating moods, or feeling like self-care isn't worth the effort, let's connect.

Tell me your struggles and let me help you rebuild your belief in your body, and step into a future of confidence and vitality.

Book a free discovery call today—together, we'll make small, simple habits that create big, lasting change.

I’m a health coach who specializes in helping men reverse insulin resistance and take back control of their weight, energy, and long-term health.

My coaching is rooted in the science taught by Dr. Benjamin Bikman and the Insulin IQ framework, which focuses on lifestyle-first strategies to improve metabolic health.

My path to coaching started with my own interest in fitness and performance.

Along the way, I saw how often men struggle with weight, fatigue, and early signs of metabolic disease, without realizing insulin resistance is at the root.

That pushed me to get my Master Primal Health Certification and then my Insulin IQ certification so I could help others with practical, evidence-based strategies that work in real life.

I don’t hand out quick fixes. I teach you how to eat, move, sleep, and live in a way that makes your body more insulin-sensitive, so you can build habits that last and avoid the chronic illnesses that cut life short.

My journey to wellness has been both challenging and transformative. For the past 27 years, I have devoted myself to education—22 as an elementary school teacher and 5 as a physical education teacher—helping students learn and grow. But the most profound learning experience of my life came when I faced my own health struggles. At age 45, I needed two hip replacements due to osteoarthritis, and I found myself battling depression, anxiety, and was dependent on multiple prescription medications. I was both physically and mentally unhealthy, and I knew something had to change. Through research, persistence, and a commitment to my own well-being, I discovered the incredible healing power of focused nutrition, regular movement, stress management, and quality sleep. Over time, I was able to take control of my health and eliminate the need for medications. My passion for understanding metabolic health led me to study under Ben Bikman, and I became an Insulin IQ certified coach so that I could share my journey and the knowledge I’ve gained with others. Now, I am dedicated to helping others find their own path to wellness. I know firsthand how overwhelming health challenges can be, but I also know that lasting, meaningful change is possible with the right guidance and support. Whether you’re looking to improve metabolic health, reduce reliance on medications, or simply feel better in your daily life, I am here to guide and encourage you. Through personalized coaching, practical strategies, and an empathetic approach, I can help you take control of your health and reclaim your vitality.

I'm passionate about helping others reverse chronic metabolic diseases like pre-diabetes, diabetes, and cancer. I learned decades ago that the body is a healing machine when we give it what it needs. My personal journey includes the ordinary metabolic miracle of healing from late stage liver cancer, with an expected expiration date during the spring of 1998. Simply put, I want others to experience the very same success I experienced. I'm not a hero. I simply learned how to take care of myself in every way a person must. And my body did the rest. As an Insulin IQ coach, I will walk beside the person who has a strong desire to heal and a willingness to transform their health by learning what to do, then acting on the sound knowledge provided by Insulin IQ. If nothing changes, nothing changes. Of course, there are no guarantees, but improvement and the possibility that metabolic disease can be reversed is inevitable when we give our full attention to a very important mission.

I've lived the struggle. From a chubby little girl to an almost 300-pound woman, I carried the weight—not just on my body, but in my heart. For years, I believed it was my fault. But I’ve come to understand: it’s not. There is a system designed to enslave us, one that hijacks our God-given neurochemistry and drives us to crave processed “foods” that damage our bodies and rob us of vitality. My journey toward healing began with honoring my father’s wisdom. Before he passed from complications of diabetes—a disease that runs deep in my family—he said something that stuck with me: “Cathy, always monitor your blood sugar.” I took that to heart. As I monitored my blood sugar and began making changes, I didn’t just lose 100 pounds—I gained clarity, strength, and freedom. I pursued truth, both spiritually and scientifically. I earned certifications as a Nutritional Advisor, Food Addiction Advocate, and Insulin IQ Coach—not just to help myself, but to help others walk this path of transformation. As an ordained Christian minister with experience in missions and pastoring both Deaf and hearing churches, I’ve learned the importance of caring for the whole person: Spirit, Soul (mind, will, and emotions), and Body. True healing happens when all three are addressed—grounded in God’s Word, supported by science, and walked out in real life. This is what I uniquely offer: A faith-rooted, compassionate, and evidence-informed approach to breaking food bondage, reclaiming health, and becoming who God created you to be—fully, freely, and joyfully.
