"Hi, I’m Au'Brie, founder of the Sankofa Collective and a mental health coach dedicated to helping people, especially Black women, rebuild confidence, overcome anxiety, and silence imposter syndrome. Through compassionate, strengths-based coaching, I empower my clients to trust their inner wisdom, embrace their full potential, and create meaningful change that aligns with their values.
After earning my M.S. in Counseling, I worked as a licensed therapist for several years, helping adolescents and adults navigate varying mental health and life challenges. While I loved supporting my clients, I found myself drawn to the forward-focused, empowering approach of coaching. Instead of diagnosing and treating, I wanted to help people break free from limiting beliefs and step into the lives they truly want. That’s why I transitioned from therapy to mental health coaching in 2017—to create a space where folks from marginalized communities feel seen, supported, and in control of their own healing journey.
I understand the systemic factors that contribute to the obstacles of achieving optimal wellness, and my coaching approach acknowledges these challenges while helping my clients build the confidence and skills to navigate them. My style is compassionate, practical, and action-oriented. I use techniques like motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral strategies, and mindfulness to help clients shift unhelpful thought patterns and strengthen their self-trust. Most importantly, I believe that you already have the wisdom and strength within you—I’m just here to help you tap into it.
If you’re ready to stop second-guessing yourself and start showing up fully in your life, I’d love to support you on your journey. Let’s do this together."
