Support from a member of our pharmacy team (as needed)
I'll start by introducing myself, telling you about coaching, and getting to know you. This is a space to talk openly about yourself, your treatment, your concerns, and what feels hardest right now. I also want to know who you are outside of your cancer diagnosis.
This is a space where you'll be listened to, heard, and supported during every conversation.
We’ll focus on helping you feel clearer and more confident about your oral cancer medications, including the basics of how they work, how to take them, and what questions to bring to your care team.
This part of our coaching relationship may be supported by one of my pharmacy colleagues who can answer your questions and make sure you have the information you need to get started on your medication.
Together, we’ll create realistic routines that work with your daily life, energy levels, and priorities, so that managing medications feels more doable and less overwhelming.
When side effects, concerns, or barriers arise, we’ll work through them together. You’ll have support in problem-solving, knowing when to reach out for medical help, and feeling less alone during the hard moments.
Over time, coaching helps you feel more confident speaking up, asking questions, and participating actively in your care, so that you feel empowered throughout your treatment journey.
As your treatment evolves, we’ll adjust together. Coaching remains a supportive partnership, helping you stay grounded, informed, and supported at every stage while you navigate at-home treatment.

Hi, I’m Sonja! I’m a Cancer Care Coach with Vaalia Health, and I work with people living with breast cancer who are managing treatment at home and want some extra support figuring out the details.
If you’re juggling medications, navigating side effects, or wondering whether you’re doing everything “right” between appointments, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to carry it by yourself.
My role is to support you in understanding your treatment, building confidence in your medication routine, and getting answers to the questions that come up once you’re navigating treatment at home.
I’m a board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC) with 14 years of experience supporting people through life’s most overwhelming and complicated chapters. I’m especially passionate about working with women navigating breast cancer, helping you stay grounded in who you are beyond your diagnosis, and connecting you back to the parts of yourself that help you feel whole.
I love supporting women during the at-home care phase of treatment — when things can feel confusing and challenging — and making sure you feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
My coaching style is compassionate, calm, and judgment-free. I’m here to listen, help you problem-solve, and walk alongside you as you move through treatment.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me hanging out at home chatting with my husband, taking photos of life's simple moments, reading next to an open window with a mug of tea, listening to podcasts while walking my tiny dogs, coloring or journaling, watering my 50+ houseplants, or searching for the best bakeries and pastries wherever I go.
If you’re looking for a supportive partner to help you manage medications, make sense of your treatment, and feel more confident at home, I’d be honored to support you.
