I’ve been interested in health most of my adult life but my professional interest in wellness didn’t pique until my late 30’s. Shortly after my daughter’s 8th birthday, she was diagnosed with a rare and very painful autoimmune disorder. (We’ll save the details of my villain origin story for another day.) One thing became clear to me through all our time spent in and out of hospitals and doctors’ offices chasing a diagnosis and then, ultimately, treatment. There is a massive disconnect in our healthcare system. I mean, I knew this going in but to experience it firsthand, in the trenches like that was eye opening. It was time for a change. I closed my business to be home with my daughter and, as soon as she was well enough, set out to join the Wellness community. Coaching seemed like a natural fit.
