Overview

What you'll achieve

What can health and wellness coaching do for you? • Discover your root causes of health concerns. • Develop a customized program designed specifically for you. • Create action plans to reach your goals. • Guide you in mindful thinking and doing the work that builds confidence. • Find the best ways for your mind and body to create new healthy habits. • Inspire and challenge you to go beyond what you would do alone. • Provide accountability and support to make lasting changes.

Who this is for

I am offering these complimentary sessions as an opportunity for those who are interested in learning more about health and wellness coaching. It's a chance to experience the benefits of coaching firsthand, and I'm excited to share this journey with you.

What's included

A coach provides structured support and accountability, which is a major factor in maintaining motivation. By setting clear intentions and regularly checking in, clients are more likely to stick with their goals and overcome obstacles. This helps bridge the gap between wanting to make a change and actually doing it.

Most of my 15+ career has focused on assisting traditional college-age students through various roles (Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Student Affairs, Student Government/Activities) at public and private higher education institutions on the West and East Coasts. I began my college coursework at a community college, transferred to a highly competitive public university, and obtained an M.S. in Higher Education Administration and a Doctorate in Education. For the past several years, my focus has been as a college advisor/coach, working with high school and college students on the college application process.

One aspect of coaching is focusing on teaching students practical skills that promote well-being, such as stress management, time management, and mindfulness. These are not just strategies for navigating the application process but are lifelong tools for managing academic pressure and personal challenges. To that end, I recently completed an Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching certification course, recognized by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches. To prepare for the NBHWC exam, I am offering ten individuals five pro bono practice coaching sessions. If you are interested, please reach out to me through Vibly.

Why are you offering these sessions at no cost?

Button

I'm offering pro bono health and wellness coaching sessions to meet one of the key eligibility requirements for the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) certification exam. To sit for the exam, I must document a minimum of 50 coaching sessions that meet specific criteria. These sessions are a crucial part of the certification process, ensuring that coaches gain real-world experience and demonstrate competence in client interaction before they are board-certified. Pro Bono is an Accepted Method: The NBHWC specifically allows these sessions to be either paid or pro bono (offered at no cost). Providing free sessions is a common and ethical way for aspiring coaches to meet the session requirement while gaining valuable experience and building their skills.
