15 years experience
My journey into wellness began in 2009 with a single Zumba class. I fell in love with movement as a celebration, leading me to run my first half-marathon in early 2011 and transition into teaching that same year. By 2012, I was operating my own fitness studio, and by 2014, I was fully immersed in the industry, simultaneously teaching and coaching at 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Mountainside Fitness, and the YMCA.
Navigating those diverse environments gave me a front-row seat to the gaps in traditional fitness. While I loved the energy, I saw a need for a more inclusive, sustainable approach to health. In 2016, a major Achilles tendon surgery sidelined me for ten months, a pivotal period that shifted my focus from high-impact performance to long-term resilience and community health. I transitioned into leadership at the YMCA, helping build large-scale initiatives to support healthy living for all.
Today, I’ve traded the "no pain, no gain" mentality for a clinical, weight-neutral (HAES) approach. As an NBC-HWC, I combine my fifteen years of "in the trenches" fitness experience with evidence-based coaching to create a truly inclusive space, where health is defined by how you feel, not a number on a scale.
"Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
It means our focus is on health behaviors and how you feel, rather than a number on a scale. I prioritize inclusive movement, body respect, and sustainable habits. You never have to "prove" your health or justify your body size here; the goal is to improve your quality of life on your own terms.
Not at all. While my work is rooted in those values to ensure a safe space for everyone, I work with individuals across the entire spectrum of body sizes and goals. Whether you are navigating a specific lifestyle change, looking to manage stress, or even if you have weight-related goals, you are welcome here. We focus on compassionate, realistic strategies that fit your life.
It means finding ways to move that actually feel good and are accessible to your body right now. We move away from the "no pain, no gain" mentality and instead explore joyful movement that respects your energy levels, mobility, and personal preferences.
No. My coaching practice is secular and focuses on evidence-based wellness dimensions, inclusive movement, and body-neutrality practices. While I respect all personal belief systems, I do not incorporate spiritual or religious elements into our sessions.
While I am a Certified Personal Trainer, this coaching is more holistic. We look at the "big picture"—including emotional well-being, stress management, and habit formation—rather than just a workout plan. It’s about building a sustainable lifestyle, not just a temporary fitness routine.
