"Hello! I’m Emily and I'm here to work together with you as your Behavioral Health Coach. My journey into Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) began through my own mental health challenges, which uncovered profound gaps in how our current health systems address recovery and everyday life. After transitioning from intensive mental health care, I often found myself struggling with the simple yet crucial aspects of daily life—like cooking, cleaning, and connecting with others. While therapy was beneficial, I realized the need for more support when it came to the "how" of living a life filled with meaning, especially during tough times. This realization sparked the founding of Cereal for Dinner—an online platform that offers comprehensive suggestions, resources & tools for living a full life with persistent mental health challenges. My coaching practice has been developed in response to my lived experience and time founding and developing Cereal for Dinner. My practice is focused on making each day manageable and meaningful, despite the struggles. It’s about finding ways to live truly aligned with what matters deeply to you, guided by values that you define. This platform isn’t just about enduring life; it's about embracing it, with all its ups and downs, in a way that feels genuine and achievable. With a foundation in both science and heartfelt experience—I hold a Master of Science in Medical Science and Population Medicine from Brown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Societies from the University of Pennsylvania. My certification in Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaching from Wave has further equipped me to blend empathetic, evidence-based strategies with real-world wisdom. As we journey together, my aim is to partner with you to weave your values into the fabric of your everyday experiences. Whether you’re finding your footing post-care or seeking to infuse more purpose into your routine, I'm here to support you in discovering and sustaining a life that truly resonates with you. Let’s connect and start crafting a path that not only moves you forward but also enriches your life with every step."
