2 years experience
As I celebrate my 60th birthday this year, I bring more than professional credentials to this work. I bring personal understanding of what it means to navigate chronic conditions and autoimmune disorders while trying to live a full and vibrant life. I know what it's like to move through the healthcare system as a patient, going from specialist to specialist, managing multiple conditions, and often feeling like I'm just a passive recipient rather than an active partner in my own health and well-being.
That experience, combined with two decades as a medical chart auditor reviewing thousands of medical records, showed me something crucial that I've heard for a few years now: Our healthcare system is actually a "sick care" system. It's designed to manage symptoms and treat disease, not to empower people to take an active role in their own well-being.
I've seen it from both sides. As a patient, I've felt the confusion and overwhelm of conflicting medical advice, the frustration of appointments that barely scratch the surface, and the isolation of feeling like my health was happening to me rather than being something I had any real control over. As a chart auditor, I've reviewed thousands of records that reinforced the same pattern: patients being told what to do with little support for actually doing it, minimal attention to the lifestyle factors that drive chronic disease, and almost no acknowledgment of the whole person behind the diagnosis.
That's why I became a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
I wanted to be part of changing that dynamic. I want to help people move from feeling like passive recipients of care to becoming warriors of their own health and wellbeing.
Whether you're managing a new diagnosis, living with chronic conditions like I am, or simply ready to take back your power over your health and overall wellness, I meet you where you are. As your coach, I'm a supportive partner who moves forward with you. I help you see strengths you might not recognize in yourself. I hold you accountable. Not to my standards, but to yours. And I walk alongside you as someone who's just a few steps ahead on my own wellness journey, not as an expert on some distant pedestal telling you what to do.
My goal is simple but profound: to help as many people as possible feel empowered to take active steps toward wellness. Whatever wellness means to you, that's what we work toward together. Sustainable change isn't about dramatic overhauls or perfect execution. It's about creating habits that actually fit into your life, making shifts that feel aligned with who you are and what you value, and building momentum through progress, not perfection.
I believe we all have the capacity to create meaningful change in our life. My job is to help you access that capacity, support you through the challenges, celebrate the wins and remind you that you're not alone in this. You are the expert of your own life. I'm here to help you trust that expertise and use it to build the health and wellbeing you deserve.

Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
It’s a collaborative partnership between you and a trained professional who helps you identify your health goals, create sustainable lifestyle changes, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles. Unlike medical treatment, coaching focuses on empowering you to make informed decisions about your health through education, motivation, and accountability. Health coaches work holistically (whole person), addressing nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, and other lifestyle factors that impact overall well-being.
We’ll start by exploring your current health status, challenges, and aspirations. Together, we’ll develop realistic, actionable goals and create step-by-step plans to achieve them. Sessions include ongoing support, accountability check-ins, and adjustments to your plan as needed.
I can support you with a wide range of wellness goals, including weight management, improving energy levels, developing better sleep habits, managing stress, creating sustainable nutrition practices, increasing physical activity and movement, building healthy routines, or improving work-life balance. I can also work in collaboration with your healthcare team to manage chronic conditions. We’ll focus on creating lasting lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes.
Health coaching is ideal if you’re motivated to make positive changes but need guidance, support, and accountability to achieve your goals. You’re a good candidate if you’re ready to take an active role in your health, open to trying new approaches, and committed to the coaching process. Coaching works best when you have realistic expectations and understand that lasting change takes time and effort. If you’re dealing with serious mental health issues or acute medical conditions, it’s important to address these with appropriate healthcare professionals first.
