15 years experience
My journey into wellness began in 2009 with a single Zumba class. I fell in love with movement as a celebration, leading me to run my first half-marathon in early 2011 and transition into teaching that same year. By 2012, I was operating my own fitness studio, and by 2014, I was fully immersed in the industry, simultaneously teaching and coaching at 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Mountainside Fitness, and the YMCA.
Navigating those diverse environments gave me a front-row seat to the gaps in traditional fitness. While I loved the energy, I saw a need for a more inclusive, sustainable approach to health. In 2016, a major Achilles tendon surgery sidelined me for ten months, a pivotal period that shifted my focus from high-impact performance to long-term resilience and community health. I transitioned into leadership at the YMCA, helping build large-scale initiatives to support healthy living for all.
Today, I’ve traded the "no pain, no gain" mentality for a clinical, weight-neutral (HAES) approach. As an NBC-HWC, I combine my fifteen years of "in the trenches" fitness experience with evidence-based coaching to create a truly inclusive space, where health is defined by how you feel, not a number on a scale.
"Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
Not at all. One of the best parts of virtual training is making it work for your life and your space. We can get an incredible, effective workout using just your body weight or common household items. If you happen to have weights or bands, that’s great—we’ll use them! If not, we’ll focus on functional strength with what you have.
You are exactly who this is for. My approach is entirely shame-free and meets you exactly where you are today. We focus on sustainable progressions, not punishment. We’ll start at a pace that feels successful and supportive for your body, focusing on mobility and strength rather than intensity for intensity's sake.
Yes, absolutely. While my work is rooted in a Health at Every Size (HAES) and weight-neutral framework—meaning I don't use weight as a primary metric for success—this is an inclusive space for everyone. I focus on helping you build a healthy, consistent relationship with movement and improving your functional fitness, regardless of what your personal goals are for your body.
Usually, an area about the size of a yoga mat (plus a little extra "arm room" on the sides) is plenty. As long as you can move comfortably without hitting furniture and I can see your full body on camera, we can make it work!
Safety is my top priority. As a Certified Personal Trainer, I specialize in modifications. We will communicate constantly during the session to ensure every movement feels right for your body. If something doesn't feel good, we don't do it—we find an alternative that honors your mobility and comfort.
Ideally, place your laptop or tablet on a chair or stable surface about 5–7 feet away from you. Aim for a "full body" view so I can check your alignment from your head to your feet. Don't worry about having a "perfect" background—I'm just looking at your form!
While there is overlap, these sessions are specifically focused on active movement and exercise instruction. If you are looking for more "big picture" lifestyle strategy, habit building, or navigating the emotional side of wellness, a Health & Wellness Coaching session might be a better fit—or we can blend the two in a longer-term plan.
