My nutrition journey began about 20 years ago with sports nutrition. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the resources back then to get any education, so much of my efforts were based on blindly following the marketing claims on labels, what my personal trainer told me, and common speculations such as salads and smoothies are healthy because they are low in fat. What a mistake that was! I also took one university nutrition class, and while I enjoyed it, something didn’t feel right about it. I wanted to become a registered dietitian, but that class kept me from declaring that major. Thankfully, I found very informative podcasts and books that corrected my position and I now realize that universities are simply not holistic, and surprisingly, driven by biased funding. I eventually became a licensed psychotherapist, but still had a strong desire to get into nutrition. So I found holistic (whole-person focus without a corporate bias) training, and more training. I now see clients for both nutritional psychotherapy and general health, with a special focus on ketogenic therapy. I also have a physical office, so I can work with you in-person or online!
