"As a national board-certified health and wellness coach, I am deeply committed to empowering others who struggle with chronic stress as I did many years ago. I can help them manage stress more effectively so they can live with greater ease, joy, balance and wellbeing, personally and professionally. I believe each of us has the power to evolve and change old habits at any age and stage of life. Finding the right support and learning skills for aligning goals with innate strengths and values are what drive success. My expertise lies in working with individuals seeking greater work-life balance and relief from chronic stress, anxiety, job burnout, overuse injuries, eating disorders, and other stress-related conditions. I also collaborate with mental health professionals across the U.S. to provide behavioral coaching to clients experiencing stress, anxiety and depression associated with medical and psychological illnesses including chronic pain, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, cancer, PTSD, substance abuse and more. Prior to becoming a certified coach, I enjoyed a successful career as a communications executive and writer. With over two decades of experience working at global ad agencies and Fortune 500 companies, I personally understand the toll that stress can take. The demands of travel, poor posture, prolonged sitting, typing and excessive use of technology resulted in multiple repetitive strain injuries. When the pain became debilitating, I had no choice but to take disability leave. Despite being advised by doctors to give up writing, I made significant lifestyle changes and emerged stronger, more resilient and healthier - capable of performing at a even higher level. I am dedicated to assisting others in preventing or recovering from chronic stress, and empowering them to live their best lives physically, mentally and emotionallly."

FAQs

Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.

Can the programs be customized for my specific needs?

Button

Yes. Each of us has different physical, emotional, and mental stressors, which are as unique as the programs we design. We offer a variety of custom coaching solutions and help you determine the best fit for your needs.

How do I know which program package is the right fit for me?

Button

The 3-month Launch package is perfect for those new to coaching or seeking a health reboot to prevent stress from spiraling out of control. The 6-month Ascend package is ideal for those seeking relief from chronic stress and wanting more guidance, support, and accountability in making life transitions or meeting goals.

What type of certification should a coach have?

Button

The gold standard in coaching, specifically health or wellness coaching, is national certification. Coaches who hold active NBC-HWC certifications are national board-certified and are the most sought-after coaches in the industry due to their higher professional education in health sciences and evidence-based training. For more information about certification, visit https://nbhwc.org

How does a coach differ from a therapist?

Button

Well-trained coaches are experts at facilitating behavioral changes. Rooted in the science of positive psychology, coaches draw on innate strengths to formulate a personalized action plan that can drive dramatic shifts in habits and lifestyle. Unlike a therapist who focuses on the past, a coach will look towards the future; where a client wants to go, professionally and personally.

How does a coach differ from a personal trainer or nutrionist?

Button

Unlike a personal trainer or nutritionist, a coach will not give you a specific workout or diet to follow. They will help you identify challenges and improvements you would like to make long and short-term, then guide you to accomplish your goals step by step. Coaches also support you to stay accountable, motivated and able to adress obstacles you may encounter on your path towards greater health and well-being.

How does it work?

Button

Coaching is a highly collaborative process. It involves a commitment of time and energy from both the coach and client. Before embarking on a partnership, an initial 30-minute Discover Call is advised to ensure there is a good fit. Coaching sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length and are held by telephone or video. Coaching packages are available (e.g., 3-month, 6-month, yearly programs) and can be customized to fit your specific needs and schedule.

How do I get started?

Button

It is easy to get started! Just sign up for a complimentary, no-obligation Discovery Call. During this 30-minute call, we will explore your priorities, health and wellness goals, and determine how coaching can help you. We offer a wide range of stress management programs and ongoing support options.
