My path to health and wellness coaching has been shaped by both professional training and real life—and by a lifelong fascination with nutrition, exercise, and overall health.

I began my professional journey as a registered nurse, earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Biola University. From early on, I was drawn to understanding how the body works, how daily habits influence health, and why change can feel so hard—even when people truly want it. While my education gave me a strong foundation, some of my most meaningful learning happened well beyond the classroom and clinical setting.

I took several years away from my career to raise our family. My husband and I have been married for 30 years, and together we’ve raised five children—three of whom we adopted. Those years taught me patience, adaptability, resilience, and a deep respect for how layered and complex real life can be. They also reinforced how important support, perspective, and grace are when navigating change.

Our family life has taken us around the world. We’ve lived in Colorado, Texas, Alaska, Scotland, Russia (both on the eastern coast and in Moscow), and Dubai. Experiencing different cultures, lifestyles, and approaches to health deepened my understanding that wellness is not one-size-fits-all. Environment, community, and season of life matter—and sustainable health must fit the individual.

Over time, my long-standing interest in nutrition, movement, and health—combined with my nursing background and life experience—led me to pursue formal training in health and wellness coaching through Emory University. I am currently preparing to sit for the National Board Certification exam for Health & Wellness Coaches (NBHWC). My coaching approach blends evidence-based methods with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique path.

Outside of coaching, I love to read, hike, run, stay active, and spend time with friends. I believe health should support a full, connected life—not become another source of pressure or perfectionism.

I coach because I believe people are capable of meaningful change when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged to move at their own pace. My role is to walk alongside clients as they gain clarity, build confidence, and take steady, intentional steps toward the life and health they want.
