25 years experience
My journey is one of resilience, healing, and a deep-rooted passion for learning. From an early age, I found myself navigating the complexities of trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression, facing challenges that shaped my view of self, relationships, and well-being. These experiences fueled my commitment to personal growth and ultimately led me to a path of empowering others. Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by the power of possibility—always eager to learn and explore. This curiosity blossomed into a lifelong pursuit of helping others, mentoring, teaching, and coaching. Throughout my professional journey, these passions have been evident in every role I’ve held, seamlessly intertwined with my personal life as I strive to support those around me. Healers from diverse traditions have profoundly impacted my life during moments I needed them most. Native American, Latino, and Celtic shamans, body healers, reiki practitioners, therapists, mindfulness teachers, and guides—each contributed to my physical, psychological, and spiritual healing. I am deeply grateful for their care, love, and transformative gifts, which have inspired me to pass on their legacy of healing to others. The challenges I’ve faced have gifted me with invaluable nuggets of wisdom: the importance of self-worth, the art of stress management, and the capacity to heal and grow. Mindfulness has been my lifeline, especially during the isolation and uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic. Silent retreats, MBSR training, virtual and in-person sangha gatherings, and the guidance of extraordinary mentors have fortified me against loneliness and strengthened my sense of purpose. As a lifelong learner, my academic journey has been foundational to my growth. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a dual focus in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Eastern Oregon University, where I explored the development and family systems of children from birth to eight years old. Building on this, I earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, with an interdisciplinary thematic focus on Early Childhood Education and Dual Language Development. This advanced study emphasized second language acquisition and early childhood special education, equipping me with a nuanced understanding of young learners and their needs. My academic and professional pursuits span over a decade of formal studies and three decades of professional development training. My education also includes postgraduate studies in transpersonal psychology and positive psychology, enriching my understanding of family systems, cross-cultural values, and coaching strategies. These diverse studies complement my extensive certifications in evidence-based practices, adult learner coaching, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. In addition to my NBHWC board certification- exam.completed, awaiting results, I’m honored to hold numerous credentials: - Certified Mental Helath Coach, - Certified Practice-Based Coaching trainer and coach - Trainer of Center for Social and Emotional Foundations in Early Learning modules - Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher (MBSR Teacher) - Certified Mentor Coach Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care - Interactive Associates Facilitative Leadership certification - Mental Health First Aid certification - Certified trainer WestEd Program for Infant and Toddler Caregivers These qualifications are more than titles—they reflect my dedication to creating spaces for healing, learning, and transformation. My work is inspired by the belief that every individual carries their own potential for growth, resilience, and fulfillment. Through coaching, mentoring, and teaching, I aim to guide others toward discovering their strengths and building their own stories of triumph. Whether you’re seeking personal breakthroughs or professional development, I’m here to support you on your unique journey. Together, we can cultivate the tools and practices to create lasting change.
"Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.
Mental health and wellness coaching is a supportive, goal-oriented process that helps individuals improve emotional well-being, build resilience, and create positive life changes. It is not therapy, but it complements therapeutic work by focusing on present challenges and future goals.
Coaching focuses on personal growth, mindset shifts, and actionable strategies for well-being. It does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. Therapy often explores deeper emotional healing and past trauma, while coaching is more future-focused and practical.
Anyone seeking greater balance, clarity, or emotional support can benefit — whether you're managing stress, navigating life transitions, or simply wanting to feel more grounded and fulfilled. Additionally, my coaching practice embraces the rich diversity of every individual—across cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship styles. I deeply respect and celebrate the unique experiences and perspectives you bring.
If deeper or clinical support is needed, I can help refer you to licensed mental health or medical professionals or community resources.
