What you’ll need

FAQs

Still need more clarity? Here are answers to some commonly asked questions.

Is this therapy or coaching? What's the difference?

Button

This is wellness coaching, not therapy. We focus on building life skills, coping strategies, and healthy habits through creative activities. It's educational and supportive, but not treatment for mental health conditions. If your child is in therapy, this can work alongside it—but it can't replace clinical care. Think of it as "life skills bootcamp with a creative twist."

My child is shy and doesn't like talking in groups. Will they be comfortable?

Button

Many shy kids thrive in this program! Sharing is always optional, never forced. The creative activities give kids something to DO (not just talk), which makes participation easier. Plus, the small group size (4-8 kids) feels less intimidating than a big class. I create a judgment-free environment where every contribution is celebrated.

What if my child doesn't have art supplies or isn't artistic?

Button

No artistic skills required! Everything can be done digitally using free tools like Canva. If your child prefers hands-on, basic supplies work (things most families already have). This isn't about creating museum-quality art—it's about self-expression and exploration. Stick figures and simple designs are perfect!

Will you be on camera with my child? What about safety?

Button

Yes, I'm on camera the entire time facilitating the session. All participants keep cameras on during group time (this builds connection and accountability). Sessions are not recorded to protect privacy. I'm a trained wellness coach with experience working with middle schoolers, and I follow all ethical guidelines for working with minors. Parents are welcome to be nearby (though most kids prefer you're not hovering!).

What if my child has evening activities or can't make all 4 days?

Button

The program is designed as a 4-day intensive where each day builds on the previous one. Missing one day means missing that project and the group continuity. If your child has a conflict, I recommend registering for a future cohort when they can commit to all 4 days. No refunds for missed sessions, but I'm happy to send the materials so they can complete projects independently.
