Have you ever poured your heart into your career, only to realize your health is paying the price? I’ve witnessed firsthand how even the most driven business leaders and professionals ignored their well-being until a serious health crisis made it impossible to keep running on empty. My career began in cardiac rehab, where I helped patients rebuild their bodies after major health setbacks. But something was missing. Once insurance coverage ran out, many struggled to sustain their progress. That experience opened my eyes: people don’t just need exercise plans—they need support for the mindset, motivation, and meaning behind lasting change. That realization led me to coaching.

 

I recognized a critical gap: no one was providing the coaching needed to support the mindset and ongoing maintenance essential for lasting lifestyle change. That realization inspired me to become a certified health and wellness coach—to help people not just get healthy, but stay healthy—and feel truly empowered for life.

 

Years later, even as I thrived in a demanding corporate role, burnout crept in. I found myself searching for my own path to well-being. That moment was another turning point. I saw clearly that my coaching skills weren’t just for people managing chronic conditions—they were crucial for anyone facing the relentless stress, imposter syndrome, and nonstop pressure of modern work life. Now, I’m dedicated to helping working individuals reclaim their health, resilience, and balance every single day.

 

Evidence is mounting that workplaces are straining our well-being. A 2025 survey found that 53% of employees cite work relationships as a major source of stress, while nearly half of professionals report feeling burned out, according to Harvard Business Review. As organizations demand greater adaptability and resilience amid constant change, it’s worth asking:

For over 15 years as a worksite wellness strategist, I’ve helped professionals manage stress, prevent burnout, and thrive. I’ve also seen a clear gap — traditional leadership training often ignores the human issues people don’t feel safe discussing at work, like imposter syndrome, chronic stress, and “always-on” exhaustion.

That’s why I founded Priority Self LLC. As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach with a Master’s in Kinesiology, I combine expertise in physiology, behavior change, and coaching with lived experience. I developed the IGNITE Framework to help people develop a personalized wellness journey that’s built on a strong foundation of their values, strengths, and aspirations. My approach to coaching people who are struggling to balance work and well-being is simple: I coach the person, not the position. I believe in fostering safe, non-judgmental learning environments to help clients explore and uncover their potential and take meaningful action.
