I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Utah and Idaho. But unlike most therapists, I’ve sought training in holistic and metabolic nutrition to support physical health (which eventually translates to better brain health and mental health).
As I grew up, I always had a curiosity with how my environment made me feel. As I got older, I became interested in exercise and went to the gym a lot! But one day, we had a pice party at work; I ate one slice and felt lethargic within minutes. Ever since then, I’ve been researching and experimenting on how good affects how I feel!
I became a therapist to help other people and really make a difference in the world. But I wanted to incorporate nutrition in my work, and to my dismay, it wasn’t covered in graduate school. So I had to go find my own training beyond graduate school. I am proud to have found a nutrition school that isn’t based on corporate biases like you might find at a university.
After graduating, I got interested in metabolic health, and haven’t looked back! Come to find out, Mental illness is a metabolic disorder of the brain, not merely a chemical imbalance. To go further, most disease is also caused by poor metabolism! So whether you are dealing with mental or physical challenges, I can probably help.
