""Why I Do This Work" For most of my life, I thought I was doing all the “right” things to stay healthy. But early on, I was diagnosed with Graves' disease—an autoimmune thyroid condition that I managed the best I could, without fully understanding what my body was trying to tell me. Years later, my wake-up call came when I was diagnosed with Follicular Thyroid Cancer. That moment changed everything. It forced me to stop treating symptoms in isolation and finally ask the deeper questions: Why did this happen? What’s really going on underneath the surface? That’s when I discovered root-cause medicine and functional nutrition—and it completely transformed how I view health, healing, and how we support the body through nutrition, lifestyle, and faith. Now, as a Functional Nutritionist, I use that experience to walk alongside others—especially those in midlife—who are tired of being told their fatigue, weight gain, and inflammation are “just part of aging.” I help them reconnect with their bodies, address the root causes of chronic symptoms, and restore health with intention and purpose. What is functional nutrition consulting?

Functional nutrition looks at the root causes behind symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves. Instead of asking ‘what’s wrong,’ we ask ‘why is this happening.’ I look at how nutrition, hormones, stress, lifestyle, and the body’s systems are all working together — and where things may be out of balance. My role is to help you understand what your body is communicating and support you in making sustainable changes that fit your life.

How are sessions conducted?

Sessions are held virtually through [Zoom/Google Meet], so you can join from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a phone or computer, an internet connection, and a quiet space.

How is coaching different from therapy or nutrition counseling?
